Barcelona 06

Posted by theSubtleSensor (Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom) on 12 May 2010 in Architecture.

This set of pictures was taken whilst I was holidaying in Barcelona in Feb 2009 (yes, I am that far behind with my image editing!) and I am starting with a study of the Torre Agbar designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and owned by the Barcelona water company Aigües de Barcelona.

This is the last one of the tower images. It was done in a rush, so my editing is a bit sloppy, for which I apologise.

I'm not really postimg much on here these days. I only intend to post my personal projects or experimental work as this is what I need feedback on - so please do leave a constructive comment or a star rating.

These days I post more regularly to the blog on my website, so skate on over there to see what I've been up to recently: Freelance Photographer in Newcastle upon Tyne | Subtle Sensor Photography

NIce one, i like the contrast between the green grass and the building

@Alun: Thanks. I would have liked a better sky but I don't have filters for the DP1!

Laurent from Lyon, France

what a change with the previous ones that where more "city" oriented. If the tower was not so peculiar it would be hard to think it is the same building.
Whery good point of view

@Laurent: Thanks Laurent!

ℳarleen from Doesburg, Netherlands

Great pov! I agree it's very difficult to capture this 'waterbeam', but challenges are nice and returning to Barca too...;-))))

Phil David Alexander Morris from Saskatoon, Canada

well the grass does give it somewhat a more garden feeling-- needs to be part of city surroundings, unusual shot though.

12 May 2010 8:00pm

@Phil David Alexander Morris: The camera is definitely lying in this case. The building is situated near a spaghetti junction and in the business district of Barcelona. There is one small patch of very lush grass a little distance away and it was so unusual to see it that I couldn't resist making it a part of this image.

Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United States

The ultimate 'get down' Dan. An excellent 'worm's eye' view.

@Stephen Phillips: Thanks Stephen, I do like to get down and dirty ha ha!

Céline from New York City, United States
