Another wild, rocky Scottish shore at sunrise. I prefer photographing at sunset but on the coast it is worth getting up for the sunrise, it is a much more unearthly type of light and I think it suits these types of environment.
I've spent most of last month working on images to put on my (currently under construction) website. Most of them I won't be posting here but landscape photography is the area I'm most interested in getting into so I figured, why not put them out there (or on here)!
I am 80-90% satisfied with these images; I like to photograph wild places and dramtic landscapes but I'm not sure if my processing seems a little... amature. So please be as harsh as you can regarding post processing as well as composition, lighting, subject matter etc: I'm looking to improve!
I welcome all constructive comments, compliments and criticisms. I am here to learn. the fastest way for me to learn is for you to be really unforgiving and articulate in your criticism =D)
If you don't have time to comment don't forget to give a star rating as you pass through!

Nice textural shot of the rocks, and I love the slightly purplish tint on both sides of the photo

@Lorraine: Thanks, I am really pleased with the colour of this one too =D)
I like the flare of the sunlight. I have no idea what others feel about your images but I really like them. :P

@pLusOne: Thanks pLusOne, I really admire your work too =D)
The flare looks awesome! And very dramatic colour tone which makes it look like a scene from a Sci-Fi movie to me. Form the other planet!

@Vikram: Its pretty difficult to avoid flare in these circumstances but lens flare seems to be really fashionable at the moment and I've always quite liked it, I'm glad you like it too =D)
Yes, it's cold and warm at the same time ! Very strange

@pierre: Thats about right Pierre, it had been a freezing cold night and unfortunately for me my sleeping bag had fallen off my motorbike on the journey up so I spent the night in my tent wearing my bike leathers and shivering myself to sleep!
It started to warm up quite quickly as the sun rose. The shots I took before this one have a cold blue tint and the ones shortly after are much warmer looking but I liked this one precisely because of its 'in between-ness'. =D)
The way the sunflare is skimming across the rocks is wonderful and I love the details of the shellfish attached to the rocks.

Yes those flares do work!! And the expanse of the rock in this image really works great... leads the eye perfectly to that sunrise. NICELY done!
