another lonely tree

I wanted to post this one because I had it earmarked for my website but, seeing as how unexpectadly popuklar this shot was, I was hoping you guys could give me your opinions on which is better...

I welcome all constructive comments, compliments and criticisms.
I am here to learn. the fastest way for me to learn is for you to be really unforgiving and articulate in your criticism =D)

I like the sky of this image but the perspective of the image is the other day's one better. just my opinion.

@pLusOne: Yes, if I'm honest I agree with you. It is now difficult for me to choose. Maybe I shall put them both up, most of my other landscapes (which I shall be posting next month) are very over dramatic so these simple summer ones are a nice contrast.

I find it impossible to make meaningful comparisons between the two images although, instinctively, I feel landscapes belong in a landscape format. This one, also, has a longer ‘reach’ to the horizon which gives greater depth.

@Ronnie 2¢: Thanks Ronnie, I can only take that as a good sign. yes, I originally felt that this shot fits into the 'landscape' category more easily. Perhaps I can put the other shot under the 'nature' category... Thanks for your thoughts.

Great shot, I like the sky clouds of the previous one, but the colours and composition of this one.

@Graham Russon: Thanks for your input - I'm having the same trouble picking just one. Meh, maybe I'll use both ha ha! I'm still not up to your standard as far as landscapes are concerneed!
