I am joining in with the 'show yourself' theme that somebody suggested for today. I know the point was to show the face behind the work but I did that in my very first post so thought I'd offer a slightly different self portrait.
There are three seperate images that went in to creating this.
I welcome all constructive comments, compliments and criticisms. I am here to learn. the fastest way for me to learn is for you to be really unforgiving and articulate in your criticism =D)
If you don't have time to comment don't forget to give a star rating as you pass through!

@Dara: Thanks Dara =D) I basically stole it from a famous photographer who did something similar with a golf ball for a head. I would love to credit him but can't remember who it is and a Google search for "golf ball head" proved fruitless =D(
Wow, that's really neat! Great pp work.

@Rhys: Thanks Rhys. I'd like to say I took inspiration from Magritte but my art history is not that good!

And you want me to tell you how I did my layer image when you produce amazing work like this???? Freakin' brilliant work, Dan! The edges are feathered perfectly... a fantastically creative image!!

@amy: Oh how you flatter me =D) This was an early attempt at layering and I can see flaws all over the place but I'm proud of it nontheless! It still needs a lot of work to rival your bird shot =D)
Fascinating work. Creative idea.

@Viewfinder: Better than the other side eh? lol. Thanks VF =D)
Love it! Makes my self portrait look boring ;0) I wish I was that talented with combining photos. Something to aspire to I guess...

@Tracey: Don't be silly! Yours is far more honest and intimate than mine - my playfulness hides a secrecy and a wish to be mysterious ha ha! This was a first attempt at layering, to be perfectly honest, the idea was not my own, I have seen a similar picture somewhere else (on the cover of a magazine I think), taken by a much more accomplished photographer only using a golf ball instead of a globe. I wish I could remember where I saw it so I could credit him =D/
what a creative image! awesome!!!!
