In contrast to the last four images I thought I'd post these two from last summer. I really miss sunny days, blue skies and white, fluffy clouds!
I welcome all constructive comments, compliments and criticisms. I am here to learn. the fastest way for me to learn is for you to be really unforgiving and articulate in your criticism =D)
If you don't have time to comment don't forget to give a star rating as you pass through!

The different levels of texture and color are very appealing. The tree against the bank of cloud makes for an interesting composition. The image has real appeal.

@Michael Skorulski: Thank you kindy, the compliment means a lot. I was lucky to have such wonderful clouds acting as a bacdrop to this idylic scene.
wow, awesome landscape. The tree, the cloud and the sky are all composed perfect.

@pLusOne: Thanks +1, its unusual for me to shoot landscapes at this time of day, I usually wait til sunset but I am really pleased with this image. Glad you like it.
I can see why you miss them so much too.. If this is your reward, then pray the sun never sets...

@Kleos: Oh no! I can't have that, I LOVE sunsets and sunrises lol! I just wish I wasn't so far north, thats all =D)
How awesome is that! Green, white, blue.... perfectly divides the scene. The colors are magnificent and the composition is great. Perfect shot indeed, well done

@Ina: Thank you very much Ina =D) I'm glad you like it but I can't take al the credit, that was the way I found it! And the SD10 has a way of rendering blue sky that makes it look as if a polariser was used so I was fortunate to have that camera on me too.
Very Nice shot :) I Like It . . .

@Saeed: Thankyou Saeed =D)
This is very well composed. My compliments. As Michael already said, the layers here are what work so well, and also the different elements -- a diagonal, a horizontal and a wedge. Very well seen!

@Betty: Me too lol! I'm glad you appreciate the shot.
Beautiful summer setting. I'm particularly drawn to scenes with a lone tree…this one really speaks to the introvert in me. Thanks!

@Ron: Me too. I love lone trees, there is another one tomorrow, just for you! =D)
me too, so much and this is beautiful, thanks :)

@Lorraine: You're welcome! I have another one for you tomorrow =D) (sorry Ron, you'll have to share ha ha)

@Viewfinder: Well Spring is definitely here in Newcastle. I can tell because its raining all the time lol!
A perfect summer scene, I love that dense green, looks like a rainforest!
17 Mar 2008 10:30am
@MadScientist: Yes, it is quite literally a lush green =D)
its nice and lonely...
17 Mar 2008 12:12pm
@Hoopand: The scene does indeed seem quite solitary. But I was enjoying a stroll on a beautiful summers day, in beautiful surroundings and with a beautiful girl for company. so sometimes the camera does lie loll!
here in canada we still have snowy days :(
17 Mar 2008 1:17pm
@axel: Well we're getting Rain in England - haven't seen snow in a long time. Smow is nice... in short periods. Hope the spring warms you up soon =D)
I second that thought! And this photo is perfect for evoking that carefree feeling of summer days! Well done.
