I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that I'd been working on a portfolio shoot for another model. she has given her permission for me to post some of the shots up here so I thought I'd do another 'before & after'.
This is the straight from RAW conversion with minimal processing done. I usually just get the contrast and colours looking as natural as possible and then lose the sharpness (I prefer to add that back in in Photoshop). Tomorrow will be the final edit.
I welcome all constructive comments, compliments and criticisms. I am here to learn. the fastest way for me to learn is for you to be really unforgiving and articulate in your criticism =D)
If you don't have time to comment don't forget to give a star rating as you pass through!

Oh wow, I like the colors here! A variety of them makes the picture happier. And she has lovely light teal-bluish-gray eyes!

@Tricia: Instant happiness, I like that =D) Thanks for commenting.
Seems like a lot of people comment about the colours here.. I shall too! Except for your black and whites.. There's always some vibrant colours. And it's just nice.. Not too much nor too little.. Nice work here!

@Ming Img: Thanks MIng, this model has only recently changed her hair colour so I was trying to find a colour scheme that woulod really set it off - I'm glad everyone likes the colours!
I'm a sucker for all that color. (Pun intended). It's a wonderful happy portrait and the detail is excellent, Dan.
This is wonderful! Great portrait, wonderful colors!

A very, very minor suggestion: either clone out or crop out that little white strip at the top right of this outstanding, amazing portrait of this sweet young thing. Then you will have achieved perfection (and without a hat)! Really, this is a wonderful photo; I love her eyes, and the smile behind the candy "mask" she's holding.

Simple and clean, a little cropping on the top is probably needed.

I agree with the others on the top corner but, oher than that, nothing adverse at all. I do hope we get to see her full face, too!

cute shot!

As suggested above, I would definitely crop off that lighter section at the top. Some great eyes in this shot too.

Very nice composition and, yes, the colors rock. I also like how she is looking to the side and not at the camera. I agree with VF to crop out the corner of the ceiling (you might want to clone it out as cropping would crowd the top of the composition) and also that distracting white corner to the side of her shoulder. I would also smooth out the bra lines on her top as they are a bit distracting (I know, leave it to a guy to notice that).

@Russ: Hi Russ, thanks for your comments. You know, I hadn't even noticed the bra lines until you mentionedit... damn! lol
extremely colorful and happy

The colors are nice I wish we could see a little bit of her mouth or smile though , but that is my personal taste I guess

@Raye Michele: Thanks! there's no such thing as 'too much' fun =D)
Like everyone else, the colors are amazing. I'm looking forward to the "after".

Great colors and a really fun shot.

Before and after- great idea. This shot is a great one even before. I'm going to guess that you're going to cut out the little bit of white at the top, but other than that can't see anything obvious to tweak. cool idea! great smile!

The colours are so cheerful, and it makes the photo a joy to look at :)
