To see this month out I'm going to upload some cityscapes/architectural shots. I spend most of my time in cities so I have many, many pictures of them. I struggle most with city shots though. I come home with hundreds of pictures but only 2 or three decent shots! Here are some of them.
This picture is of a flock of birds who were almost jumping from rooftop to rooftop last time I visited Leeds.
I welcome all constructive comments, compliments and criticisms. I am here to learn. the fastest way for me to learn is for you to be really unforgiving and articulate in your criticism =D)
If you don't have time to comment don't forget to give a star rating as you pass through!

Excellent sharp detail. The building seems to have a halo of birds.

Beautiful shot. You can even see reflections of the birds in the last two windows to the left. The birds massed together as they are adds a very dramatic overtone to the shot.

@Ron: Thanks Ron,
I noticed that the birds kept flying 'en masse' from roof to roof. The had been on and off this building twice already. I really liked the lighting on this building and decided to set up my tripod ready for the next take off. I think the pidgeons knew what I was up to because I had to wate a full 15 mins before they decided to settle back on this roof; they just kept flying around and leaving my building out!
NICE SHOT

very nice - hard to capture birds at exactly the moment when they are all aloft yet still en masse.

I like this.

nice take! i especially like the birds flying over the building. i don't get that chance over here and buildings are just WAYYYYYYY too tall to be shot and there's hardly any birds around in the city too.

@Tse Min: Yes, I can imagine it is difficult shooting 'urban' bird dhots if the roofs are so high! Thanks for your comments Tse Min
well captured - the light is perfect !

What a wonderful shot with all the birds! I lived in Leeds for just under half of my life - and I can't remember where this building is?? Is it as old as it appears or is it just a newer facade on it. Yorkshire Insurance Company ? is that Stables. and can't quite make out the inscription at the end??? Really Curious but a very nice building shot! :-)
