This image came from another shoot inspired by Sante D'Orazio's work. It was taken in November with a bright, low winter sun bathing the model in golden light. The contrast was difficult to work with and most of the time I was exposing for her face and losing detail in the shadows but I reversed my tack for this shot and I find it really pleasing.
I welcome all constructive comments, compliments and criticisms. I am here to learn. the fastest way for me to learn is for you to be really unforgiving and articulate in your criticism =D)

I love it, my favourite so far, and Iespecially like that you kept the silhouettes, so that you see the shadow of the 'model' as well as the photographer, brilliant Dan...

Cool shot. I Like the model's expression and the shadows of you and your model.

superb idea, try to remove the photographers shadow so to increase the mystery in it!

@Dimitrios: Actually thats not a bad idea. I might do a version like that...
Dan, I find this image pleasing and delicate. I especially like the lacy blouse which adds interest. The shadows are also intriguing and don't distract.

a nice portrait and I really like the way you've not cropped out the background and the shadows so that it isn't *just* a portrait

There is something of an inscrutable Mona Lisa expression on your model's face. Maybe she was just shielding her eyes from the sunlight... but it really makes for a powerful image. The rest of the scene gives context; the shadows are part of the context and are not distracting to me.

@Viewfinder: Thanks for the compliment. She is a very beautiful girl and easy to photograph, I'll pass your compliments on to her.
The light is gorgeous, Dan. I also like the lace blouse...it does add interest and texture. great job!
