Even though I've been back for a few days I quite like the idea of posting these mini series. It helps me structure and plan in advance. I can't add the images I've taken while I was away because they still need editing, I also have a wedding and a portrait session to edit so, while these are going through 'processing' I thought I'd share some of my previous portraits.
This was inspired by a book of Sante D'Orazio's. I can't remember the title of the book but his style is fashion shots that have the intimacy of a portrait and the book was styled to look like a journal with a really chaotic, collage-like layout.
I've taken one of my favoutire shots and used that as the main image (after editing and converting to sepia). I then created this 'polaroid pile' in Picasa2 using some of the unedited images.
Let me know what you think!
Dan
I welcome all constructive comments, compliments and criticisms. I am here to learn. the fastest way for me to learn is for you to be really unforgiving and articulate in your criticism =D)
If you don't have time to comment don't forget to give a star rating as you pass through!

Really excellent work. I had no idea you could do all this with Picasa.

@Michael Skorulski: Only the collage element was done in Picasa, the real editing was in Photoshop =D)
Love what you've done with this series of portraits. a great collection put together

@DaveB: Cheerd Dave, I'm glad you like them.
Very well done Dan, although I have to admit I would love to see the main photo in a larger format and drop the polaroids ;)

@Lorraine: Well, you may be lucky - when I get my website up and running ;)
I like the effect. It has a lot crammed into a small space, but the overall impression is good. Very expressive model, and a creative way to show more of her expressiveness, IMO.
